Felicia Cummings is no stranger to the world of Public Relations. This southern peach was born and raised in the small town of Irwinton, which is located in Central Georgia. She currently resides in Warner Robins, Georgia. Previously, she lived in Milledgeville, Georgia where she spent the past ten years building her reputation as a public relations professional. After earning her B.A. in English Literature at Georgia College & State University, she obtained her teacher certification and entered the field of education. Ms. Cummings returned to her alma mater as a high school British Literature and Journalism teacher at Wilkinson County High School. It was a surreal moment in her life as she worked alongside her mentors who supported and encouraged her writing talent when she was a student there.  After nine years of teaching, she was moved to take a leap of faith. Her love for writing and mass communications was beaconing to her so she resigned from teaching and her life in Public Relations began.





After resigning from teaching, Ms. Cummings became a crime and education news reporter for The Union-Recorder newspaper. Her unbiased news reporting skills gained the respect of local educators and law enforcement officials. After five years as a news writer, Chief Dray Swicord, Chief of Police at the Milledgeville Police Department, came to her with a vision. He saw her potential as more than a news reporter. He was creating a Public Information Officer position and wanted her to step up to the plate. She excelled in this role. After five years, she left the law enforcement agency and went back to education, but this time in a leadership capacity. Ms. Cummings worked as the School and Community Relations Coordinator for the Baldwin County School District, where her PR skills grew. She secured regional, state, and national recognition for her work in both PR jobs. The PR work she provided for the community also garnered recognition from her college. In 2021, Georgia College’s Arts & Sciences Department named her the 2021 Humanitarian of the Year. It was the first alumni award of its kind. She was nominated by professors of GC’s Mass Communications Department.

With a desire to keep moving forward as a dynamic Public Relations Professional, Ms. Cummings has started her own PR business—The Cummings League Marketing & Design Company. In November 2022, she obtained her M.A. in Public Relations & Media Communications from Full Sail University. She is currently pursuing her doctorate degree in Strategic Media Communications from Liberty University and is teaching Public Relations and Media Studies courses at Fort Valley State University.
